Sell solar as a service to your customers

Unlock recurring revenue, long-term customer relationships, and ESG improvements with fully managed solar solutions. All CAPEX free.

Deliver cost certainty and clean energy - powered by Solar as a Service

A flexible Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model designed to remove complexity for your customers. No capital outlay – customers simply purchase the solar energy their system generates at a pre-agreed rate.

UrbanVolt owns, installs, and fully manages the solar asset throughout the contract term. All electricity generated is used directly by the customer, reducing grid reliance and energy costs.

The price per kilowatt-hour remains fixed for the entire agreement, ensuring cost certainty and transparency. The first payment only begins once the system is operational and generating clean energy.

FAQs

How do I introduce a solar PPA to my clients?

The most effective approach is to frame a PPA as an energy cost management tool rather than a solar product. Your client is currently buying all their electricity at a market rate that moves with wholesale prices – a PPA lets them fix a portion of that spend at a significant discount for up to 30 years. UrbanVolt handles the technical and contractual complexity; your role is to start the conversation and make the introduction.

How do I handle client objections to a PPA?

The most common objections – upfront cost, contract length, what happens if we move premises – are all addressed by UrbanVolt’s model. There is no capital outlay, no roof lease, and contracts can be structured to align with existing lease terms and transferred if circumstances change. Our partner team can support you directly in client conversations where it helps.

Which of my clients are most likely to be suitable?

The strongest candidates are commercial or industrial businesses using more than 100,000kWh of electricity per year, with a roof in good condition and at least 500m² of usable space. They should own their building or hold a lease of ten or more years and have a stable credit profile. Businesses operating during daylight hours – manufacturers, logistics operators, food producers, construction firms – typically see the strongest returns.

What commission or referral fee can I earn?

UrbanVolt partners share in the energy revenues generated over the life of the contract, which can run for up to 30 years. The specifics are set out when you join as a partner, and our team can walk you through the numbers based on your expected pipeline.

What contract terms do I need to understand before recommending a PPA?

The key terms to understand are the pricing model (Fixed Rate or Scaling), the escalation mechanism if applicable, how performance guarantees work, and what happens to the contract if a client moves premises or changes ownership. UrbanVolt’s agreements are deliberately straightforward – a few pages, not a corporate rulebook – and we are transparent on all of these before anything is signed.

What do you need from me to get a deal moving?

To produce an indicative PPA estimate, we need the client’s latest electricity bill and twelve months of interval data, plus basic details about the site – roof size, building ownership or lease length, and location. You can input this directly into the UrbanVolt partner portal and receive an estimate in seconds. If the client wants to proceed, we take it from there and produce a proposal in your branding.

What support do you provide during the client conversation?

UrbanVolt provides proposal materials, savings projections, and white-labelled documentation in your branding. Where a client is engages meaningfully with a desktop proposal, our team will join conversations directly and progress the opportunity to contract. You retain the energy contract throughout; we are there to supplement the grid contract, not to take it over.
