Our B Corp Journey
We use business as a force for good.
And this is why we began our B Corp journey. In 2018 UrbanVolt became Ireland’s first certified B Corporation joining some global household names such as Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, Danone and more.

And this is why we began our B Corp journey. In 2018 UrbanVolt became Ireland’s first certified B Corporation joining some global household names such as Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, Danone and more.
What does that mean?
It means going through a rigorous assessment that analyses a company’s social and environmental performance. We needed to provide evidence and proof of data across different areas of the business.
Companies have to re-certify every three years and continuously try to be better. In summer 2022, UrbanVolt completed recertification with an improved score of 98.1.
Oh, we also forgot to mention the most important part. We legally amended our constitution to account for all our stakeholders – not just shareholders. Which means: every decision we make has our people and the planet at the forefront.
