Heineken Ireland

Heineken Ireland’s UrbanVolt upgrade saves as much energy in just one year as it takes to drive an average family car around the entire world almost three times.

The Opportunity

Heineken Ireland is one of Ireland’s leading beer and cider companies, with an ambition to Brew a Better World across its entire value chain “from Barley to Bar”.

As part of the company’s journey towards achieving its 2020 sustainability commitments, it recognized the environmental (and financial) value of reducing the energy consumption of its facilities.

Heineken Ireland partnered with UrbanVolt to complete an LED retrofit of its headquarters in Cork, Ireland.

The Process

In 2018, UrbanVolt installed energy efficient LED fixtures in the HEINEKEN Ireland headquarters in Cork, Ireland via our innovative Light as a Service offering.

UrbanVolt created a custom DIALux lighting design to ensure optimum light levels in the facility, meeting all industry standards.

Our experienced Project Managers organized the supply and installation of the investment-grade LED light fittings, working alongside on-site personnel to minimize disruption to business.

UrbanVolt took care of every aspect of the project from start to finish, enabling HEINEKEN employees to focus on what matters most: their core business.

The UrbanVolt project has made HEINEKEN Ireland a safer and happier working environment as all areas of the facility are well-lit and easier to navigate.

“This new system saves as much energy in just one year as it takes to drive an average family car around the entire world almost three times.”
