UrbanVolt plans to supply solar electricity to Irish businesses at 30% discount

UrbanVolt, an energy company backed by the State and former commercial property magnate Stephen Vernon, plans to supply solar electricity to businesses at 30 per cent discounts.

UrbanVolt will sell the electricity to the companies for 10 cent a kilowatt hour (KW hour), compared to the 15 cent to 20 cent a KW hour that the company says other suppliers charge.
