UrbanVolt launches Dataful app to tackle climate crisis
UrbanVolt has launched a new app which enables large companies to tackle climate change at scale.
Officially unveiled in New York by Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Minister Heather Humphreys, the first of its kind app enables companies to make data driven decisions.
Dataful gives multi-site organisations instant data on the scale of their opportunity in reducing energy consumption and cost for thousands of buildings globally.
“Decisions without data is just guessing,” said Kevin Maughan, CEO of UrbanVolt. “And one of the reasons large companies haven’t fully embraced sustainability is the data vacuum.
“For the first time, businesses will be able to make data driven decisions on where they should target their efforts in order to drive significant CO2 reductions.”
As a Certified B Corp, UrbanVolt Inc developed Dataful to achieve its mission of helping companies do the right thing in solving our environmental problems. By becoming a certified B Corp, UrbanVolt Inc has proven that it meets the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability.
“Our Dataful app means that our clients can gather the data on hundreds of sites and move quickly to improve their efficiency,” said Mr Maughan at the launch in New York.
“This is in contrast to the months or years of manual site surveys and data gathering which was previously the only option. Dataful is game changing technology which gives executives the data they require to make a decision.
“We offer this service to large companies who want to transition their organisations to a sustainable future but up until now, they didn’t know who to call.”
UrbanVolt Inc’s global clients include Heineken, Pfizer, Zimmer Biomet, Seko Worldwide, PipeLife and more.
UrbanVolt Inc works with Enterprise Ireland, the Irish State agency that partners with Irish enterprises to help them start, grow, innovate, and win export sales in global markets.
“The United States is the second largest individual export market for Enterprise Ireland supported companies, highlighting the strength of our economic relationship,” said Kevin Sherry, Executive Director, Enterprise Ireland.
“We are proud to support UrbanVolt Inc as they endeavor to reduce company’s carbon footprint and aid them in merging their Irish innovations into new markets.”
Minister Heather Humphreys hosted the private launch of Dataful at the event in New York.
“Irish companies already make a significant impact to the US economy, but I want to see that footprint growing even further, said Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys as she launched Dataful.
Dataful is accessible to large companies by invite only. It can then be used to calculate the energy consumption of an entire property portfolio, regardless of size. It requires just four pieces of information to make the calculations. The required information, such as the area size of a building, is readily available to companies and does not require any data gathering or time consuming site surveys.
An award winning company, UrbanVolt operates globally with clients in the US, Germany, Holland, New Zealand and other territories.
